We’re excited to officially introduce Katrina Macdonald, our new design intern! She’s joining us from Endicott College, where she’s studying Interior Architecture. We’re so happy to have her on the team and look forward to a fun season of learning and creativity together!

Why Did You Chose Interior Design?
Watching HGTV growing up sparked my love for design, which began with drawing my first floorplan in a middle school engineering class. Since then, that passion has grown and I’ve come to value creating spaces that reflect personality and make people feel good.
What Is Your Superpower?
My superpower is empathy and understanding others’ needs. Growing up in a family of six with three sisters taught me how to compromise and understand personal boundaries, which can be essential in interior design!
Favorite Hobby
I love being outdoors and staying active, whether it's hiking through nature, playing pickleball or basketball, or exploring new places through traveling.
Favorite Animal
I’ve always loved rabbits. I feel like they resemble me- calm, gentle, but full of energy when comfortable.
Biggest Influence on Who You Are Today
Growing up, my mother was the greatest influence in my life. She is one of the strongest women I know and taught me from a young age to be independent, authentic, and compassionate, among many other positive qualities. As I’ve matured, my sisters have also played a significant role in shaping who I am, each inspiring me in their own unique way by offering support, wisdom, and encouragement.
